Do I need to activate the temporary Xpectations! Plus Debit Card I got at a PLS store?
Yes. The temporary card you get at a store is not personalized with your name and has limited features. When you activate your temporary card, you can then use your card to shop, check your balance, complete purchase transactions, and add cash at a PLS store.
Online access and identity verification is required to open an account. Mobile number or email address verification and mobile app are required to access the features available with your account. Once your temporary card is successfully activated, we will send you a new personalized chip-enabled card. Just follow the instructions on your new card to get started, and to unlock all features on your account.
Free reloads at PLS when you load cash onto your Xpectations! Plus Debit Card. There is no charge for cash reloads at PLS Check Cashers locations. Individual retailers other than PLS Check Cashers locations may charge a fee.
